Clay Kit ‘Deep Cleans’ Bikes

Motorcycle enthusiasts can now achieve the ultimate showroom finish on their bike paintwork with Autoglym’s latest innovation – the ‘Surface Detailing Clay Kit’.  The comprehensive kit consists of five products that quickly and easily work together for a supremely smooth finish.

The kit’s specially-developed clay compound allows riders to deep clean the paintwork on their bikes, removing particles and impurities bonded to the surfaces.  The claying process cleanses bodywork to a standard that cannot be achieved through traditional washing and polishing methods alone.

The Surface Detailing Clay Bar is used together with Autoglym’s Rapid Detailer solution, which provides the essential lubrication required for effective cleansing.  Rubbing a lubricated piece of the clay across paintwork will result in a glass-like finish, noticeably smoother than untreated areas.  Once the surface has been treated, the kit’s Super Resin Polish can be applied to the paintwork and be buffed to a brilliant showroom shine.  Autoglym’s Metal Polish delivers a similarly perfect gleaming finish to metallic and chrome surfaces.

Paul Caller, Autoglym’s CEO explains, “Bikers notoriously struggle to get rid of bug residue from paint and metalwork and this together with more serious contaminants such as tree sap and tar, causes dirt particles to become trapped on these surfaces.  Over time impurities build up, ultimately diminishing the ‘as new’ shine, resulting in a dull appearance even after cleaning.”

Following a thorough clean with Autoglym’s Motorcycle Cleaner, riders using the Surface Detailing Clay Kit will find that their bike retains its glossy shine for longer and dirt will be less likely to adhere to bodywork.  Furthermore, any grime and residue that does get stuck to exposed surfaces will be far easier to remove during regular washing.
